Founded in 2003 the La Crosse Storytelling Festival is the only storytelling festival in the state of Wisconsin. It is first and foremost a family event which showcases the highest caliber national tellers and highlights professional local and regional tellers. The event serves as a way to entertain and to educate the general public about storytelling and serves people of all ages and from all walks of life. The Festival provides: educational workshops, a children’s area with stories, music, and crafts, a multi-age stage, fine food and beverages, a book store, a silent auction, and an adult cabaret. The Festival always takes place the Friday and Saturday following Labor Day at Myrick Park in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
