Pauser, Alice

Alice is a Wisconsin storyteller based in Madison, WI. Many of her stories are based on her life, being born and raised in a small paper mill town in Northern Wisconsin and attending Catholic elementary school.

She has been a national humor and comedy writer for over three decades and published her book “NUNderwear: Tales of Catholic School Survival in the 1960’s” in 2022. She continues her writing for publications, presentations and onstage performances and publishes the monthly e-newsletter “Happenings” that highlights performance art in the Greater Madison Area. She also facilitates “Life is Better When You Laugh” workshops for businesses, organizations and community events about the importance of humor and storytelling in helping to bring balance to people’s lives.

Alice has been a StorySlam Champion at The Moth in Madison and Milwaukee. She also does storytelling at other venues on a monthly basis and is available to be booked statewide. She believes that storytelling is an important way to connect and share joy in our diverse communities.
